WEEKLY UTILITY WORK UPDATE
Thank you for visiting this page.   There are a number of ongoing projects happening throughout the city. Many of the current improvements are critcal to our city's aging infrastructure,  and are a sign of progression.  The information on this site is to help residents and visitors carry out their normal activities and avoid traffic during the "high construction" season.

To report a pothole, please call the DPW at (508) 821-1431.  For more information on potholes or how to fill out a claim related to motor vehicle damage caused by a pothole please click here.

The following construction work will be occurring in Taunton for week ending Friday 10/24/14:
Sewer/Drain
Howard St – excavated drain replacement
Broadway (Leonard St to Taunton Green) – test pit
Bay St (@ Jenny Lind St) – test pit
Winthrop St (near Earl St) – sewer service repair
Plain St – sewer pipe lining (no excavation)
E. Water St. – sewer pipe lining (no excavation)

Water
Smith St – water main and services installation
Highland St – water main and services installation

Gas
Trescott St – installation of gas main
Church Green – installation of gas main

Paving/Sidewalks

Cable (Comcast)
None

TMLP (Electric)
Washington St (@ Mill River Bridge) – installation of duct bank

Bridge Construction
The Washington St bridge over the Mill River (at Court St) will be reduced to one lane and may be closed for periods during the week.
