Payroll Administration

The Treasurer is responsible for the administration, withholding and disbursement of all payroll checks and withholding liabilities in compliance with Federal and State laws (inclusive of IRS and DOR regulations) and local contracts. The Treasurer's Office receives all City Payrolls on a weekly basis. The office is responsible for all payroll deductions and payments to the proper agencies for Federal, State and Medicare withholdings; and their deductions including:

  • Retirement
  • Group Health, Dental and Life Insurance
  • Voluntary Insurance
  • Union Dues
  • Annuities
  • Deferred Compensation Plans

The City Treasurer Collector provides some payroll forms online. Forms available online include tax withholding forms, direct deposit form, information on group benefits and insurance rates, information on MassSMART Plan, and other employment forms.
