Taunton Open Doors to Recovery Drop-In Center
Are you or a loved one trying to deal with a substance use disorder? It can be confusing and lonely. We can help. Join us the 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:30 pm to 8 pm at Baptist Church of all Nations. View the TODR General Flyer (PDF) for more information.
Community Counseling of Bristol County (CCBC)
The CCBC provides quality and up-to-date services on mental health and substance abuse based on latest evidence-based approaches from adolescents to elders. Access the CCBC website for more information or call 508-828-9116. Walk in hours are as follows:
- Monday 8 am to 3 pm
- Tuesday 8 am to 3 pm
- Wednesday 8 am to 4:30 pm
- Thursday 8 am to 3 pm
- Friday 8 am to 3 pm
Seven Hills Foundation
offers support in 170 different locations ranging throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The mission is to support and empower individuals with life challenges, in order to achieve the highest degree of well-being and independence. Learn to Cope
A support organization that offers a wide variety of benefits for family members coping with a loved one addicted to opioids or other drugs; such as education, resources, peer support, and hope. Located at 4 Court Street Suite 110, visit the Learn to Cope website for more information or call 508-738-5148. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
Community Crisis Intervention Team (CCIT)
The Taunton CCIT is a comprehensive classroom training program that seeks to meet the needs of the mentally ill and developmentally disabled persons that are at risk or involved with the criminal justice system. Taunton Department of Human Services Elder Outreach Program
The Elder Outreach Program serves individuals that are sixty years of age and older. The program offers many services including but not limited to: food stamp assistance, transportation, mental health, fuel assistance programs, non-invasive nursing services, health counseling (SHINE), and meal delivery programs. The Elder Outreach Program provides in-home case management services in the languages of English and Portuguese. Manet Community Health Center
A non-profit organization dedicated to providing preventive, primary and non-emergent urgent care to all, regardless of financial circumstance or health insurance coverage status. Manet is a reliable, innovative and steady partner in prevention, education, and public health activities. The Community Counseling Center of Bristol County provides Supported Housing Services through programs that seek to assist in the recovery of persons struggling with serious mental illness and/or addiction who have become homeless. The programs provide:
- Daily Living Skills
- Leisure time programming
- Budgeting
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Medication monitoring
- Entitlement procurement
- On-site crisis management
- Coordination of medical/psychiatric services
- Rent subsidy
- Assistance in furnishing
- Help in finding an apartment
