[ARCHIVED] Auchincloss Hosts Housing Forum and Climate Summit

Congressman Jake Auchincloss is hosting two events next week—an Affordable Housing Forum in Attleboro and a Climate Summit in Needham.  The Congressman is convening experts in housing and climate, sharing recent policy updates, and providing opportunities for networking and collaboration to address these critical issues. All are welcome to attend.

Affordable Housing Forum In Attleboro

On Wednesday, November 9th, Congressman Auchincloss is hosting an Affordable Housing Forum in Attleboro from 10am-12pm. HUD New England Regional Administrator Juana Matias will be moderating two panels – the first will include presentations on HUD programs and initiatives that can be leveraged to build more affordable housing in the district. The second panel will include CHAPA, who will present on building pro-housing community coalitions, MassHousing, who will highlight the CommonWealth Builder program, and non-profit developer 2Life Communities, who will present on their successes building affordable housing in the MA-04 district.

When: Wednesday, November 9, 2022, from 10am-12pm
Where: Attleboro, MA (address will be sent a few days before the event to those who RSVP)

Please RSVP on this online form by November 4, 2022. There will be a wait list if venue capacity is reached. Please note that this venue will require presentation of a vaccination card (or photo) before entry.

Auchincloss Climate Summit

Climate Action Summit in Needham

On Thursday, November 10th, Congressman Auchincloss is hosting a Climate Summit in Needham from 8:30am-12pm. He will bring together climate stakeholders from the MA-04 district and beyond to hear directly from leaders in academia, industry, and public policy about their efforts to curb climate change, and how Massachusetts will lead the nation in these efforts.  Featuring opening remarks by Olin College of Engineering President Gilda A. Barabino, Ph.D., and Citizens Energy Managing Director and former Congressman Joe Kennedy III, the Climate Summit will present three panels that each highlight a different group of climate professionals and their leadership in the public and private sectors.

When: Thursday, November 10, 2022, from 8:30am - noon
