Naloxone, otherwise known as Narcan, is available at support groups for family members suffering from opiate addiction problems. You can get Naloxone at a local pharmacy with or without a prescription, under a standing order. Please visit or call a local pharmacy for more details. Manet Community Health Center offers a free program to distribute Narcan in an initiative piloted by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. Currently, Manet has the largest team from Quincy to Brockton which that distributes nasal Naloxone (Narcan) as well as training area residents on its use on a daily basis.
